ILLUSTRATOR INTRODUCTION

Today lesson was an introduction to the programme illustrator. We learnt the basics about the tools ie pen, curves, fill techniques, as well as learning other design techniques  that we can take forward in our illustrations/designs work. I’ve only used illustrator once before when on a work experience placement so it was good to refresh all the basics. Below are some really basic shapes using the pen and curve tools.

I then went on to experimenting with garment designs, and drawing them onto a fashion template. This was really good to practise the basics we just learnt and apply them to actuall illustrations that could be used in the future. I enjoyed designing on the computer using CAD techniques, makes a change but feel i need more practise!
